Denny’s Holiday Hours 2026: Christmas, Thanksgiving & More

Planning to eat at Denny’s during a holiday? The good news is that Denny’s generally stays open throughout the year, including major holidays such as Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day. However, that does not mean every restaurant follows the same schedule.

Some Denny’s locations operate 24 hours a day, while others have specific opening and closing times. Holiday schedules can also differ from regular operating hours.

This guide explains Denny’s holiday hours for 2026, which holidays the restaurant generally serves customers, how Christmas and Thanksgiving hours work, and how to confirm your local restaurant’s schedule before visiting.

Quick Answer

Denny’s is generally open on major holidays, including Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day, and New Year’s Eve. The company’s official location information states that Denny’s operates 365 days a year, even on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

However, individual restaurant hours may vary. Some locations operate around the clock, while others have reduced daily schedules. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, Denny’s specifically recommends confirming dine-in hours with your local restaurant.

Denny’s Holiday Hours 2026 at a Glance

Denny’s has a year-round dining approach, but specific 2026 holiday schedules are not universally confirmed for every location.

Important: This table reflects Denny’s general year-round operating approach, not guaranteed opening hours at every restaurant. An individual location may adjust its schedule for particular holidays.

Is Denny’s Open on Thanksgiving 2026?

Yes, Denny’s generally operates on Thanksgiving Day, which falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026.

Denny’s has specifically addressed Thanksgiving dining in its official holiday announcements, encouraging customers to check their local restaurant’s hours.

What Time Does Denny’s Open on Thanksgiving?

There is no single confirmed opening time for all Denny’s restaurants on Thanksgiving.

A location that normally operates 24 hours may maintain extended service, but its regular schedule does not guarantee uninterrupted holiday operations.

Restaurants with limited daily hours may follow a different Thanksgiving schedule.

Before visiting, confirm the restaurant’s Thanksgiving opening and closing times directly.

Does Denny’s Serve Thanksgiving Dinner?

Denny’s has previously offered Thanksgiving-themed meals.

For the 2025 holiday season, the company announced the Turkey and Dressing Dinner, Turkey Feast Sandwich, and Holiday Turkey Bundle.

The Turkey and Dressing Dinner included carved turkey breast, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, sides, and dinner bread.

However, those offerings were tied to the 2025 holiday season and should not be treated as confirmed Thanksgiving menu items for 2026.

Customers planning a Thanksgiving meal should check the current holiday menu for their selected location.

Is Denny’s Open on Christmas Day 2026?

Yes, Denny’s generally opens on Christmas Day. Its official restaurant information specifically identifies Christmas Day as one of the holidays when Denny’s serves customers.

Christmas Day in 2026 falls on Friday, December 25.

Denny’s is an option for customers looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on Christmas, provided their chosen restaurant is operating at the intended time.

Denny’s Christmas Day Hours

Not every Denny’s restaurant is open 24 hours on Christmas.

A restaurant may have normal operating hours, adjusted opening times, or a shorter service window.

Denny’s official holiday information advises customers to confirm Christmas dine-in hours with their local restaurant.

For an accurate Christmas Day schedule, use the official location finder and contact the restaurant before traveling.

Does Denny’s Have a Christmas Menu?

Denny’s has offered seasonal meals around Christmas in previous years.

Its 2025 holiday promotion included a take-home Holiday Turkey Bundle, with Christmas Eve identified as the final pickup date for that promotion.

That historical offer does not establish the availability, prices, or ordering deadlines of a 2026 Christmas menu.

Check current restaurant announcements before assuming a seasonal meal or holiday bundle is available.

Is Denny’s Open on Christmas Eve?

Denny’s generally operates throughout the holiday season, but Christmas Eve hours are location-dependent.

Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.

Some restaurants may maintain their usual schedules, while others may adjust service hours.

An individual location’s Christmas Eve closing time should be verified rather than assumed from its regular weekday schedule.

Denny’s New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Hours

Denny’s is known for remaining available during the New Year holiday period.

New Year’s Eve 2026

New Year’s Eve falls on Thursday, December 31, 2026.

Denny’s does not have one universally confirmed New Year’s Eve schedule for every restaurant.

Some locations may operate late into the night, but customers should confirm whether their chosen restaurant will be open at the time they intend to visit.

New Year’s Day 2026

Denny’s official location pages identify New Year’s Day as a holiday when the chain generally remains open.

New Year’s Day 2026 fell on Thursday, January 1.

The exact opening time depends on the location. A restaurant’s general holiday-opening policy does not guarantee 24-hour service.

Is Denny’s Open on Easter Sunday?

Denny’s generally operates year-round, making Easter Sunday another occasion when customers may find restaurants open.

Easter Sunday in 2026 fell on April 5.

However, a nationwide Easter-specific schedule has not been established for every Denny’s restaurant.

For Easter breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, verify the selected location’s hours and menu availability.

Is Denny’s Open on Other Federal Holidays?

Denny’s does not generally follow a chainwide closure schedule for federal holidays.

Customers may find participating restaurants operating on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, and other federal holidays.

However, there is an important distinction between a restaurant being generally open throughout the year and having independently confirmed hours for a specific holiday.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day fell on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Customers should check the relevant Denny’s location for its actual Memorial Day operating schedule.

Independence Day

Independence Day fell on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Denny’s restaurants may be available for meals on the holiday, but exact service hours are determined locally.

Labor Day

Labor Day fell on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Denny’s general year-round availability applies, subject to individual restaurant schedules and adjustments.

Are All Denny’s Locations Open 24 Hours on Holidays?

No. Although some Denny’s restaurants operate 24 hours a day, the entire chain does not follow a universal round-the-clock schedule.

Official location pages demonstrate meaningful differences in regular opening hours.

For example:

These schedules were checked against Denny’s official location information in October 2026.

They represent regular published operating hours, not confirmed holiday-specific schedules.

The comparison illustrates why customers should not assume that every Denny’s restaurant is open 24 hours simply because the brand serves customers on major holidays.

Does Denny’s Serve Breakfast All Day During Holidays?

Denny’s offers all-day breakfast at many locations, which can make it a convenient choice for customers who want breakfast foods outside traditional morning hours.

Official restaurant listings include services described as breakfast all day or round-the-clock breakfast.

However, all-day breakfast availability and restaurant opening hours are different.

A location may serve breakfast throughout its operating day without remaining open 24 hours.

During holidays, customers should confirm both the restaurant’s hours and the availability of their preferred breakfast items.

Denny’s Holiday Menu and Seasonal Specials

Denny’s regular menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices, while seasonal offerings may be introduced for particular holidays.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Meals

Denny’s previously promoted several seasonal turkey options during the 2025 holiday season, including:

• Turkey and Dressing Dinner
• Turkey Feast Sandwich
• Holiday Turkey Bundle

These items demonstrate the types of holiday offerings Denny’s has introduced previously. Their return for 2026 is not confirmed by that earlier announcement.

Holiday Meal Prices

Holiday meal prices can depend on the promotion, restaurant, and ordering option.

The company’s 2025 announcements also stated that prices and participation varied by location.

Customers should verify current 2026 menu prices instead of relying on previous years’ offers.

Holiday Gift Card Promotions

Denny’s has also previously offered limited-time gift card promotions around Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Such deals have specific eligibility conditions, redemption periods, and expiration dates.

A promotion available in 2025 should not be assumed active during the 2026 holiday season unless Denny’s announces it again.

Can You Order Denny’s Takeout or Delivery on Holidays?

Takeout and delivery are available at many Denny’s restaurants, but their availability on a particular holiday depends on the location and ordering system.

Denny’s official location information identifies takeout as a service at various restaurants and notes that delivery is offered at many locations.

However, a restaurant being open for dine-in service does not necessarily establish delivery availability at the same time.

For holiday orders, customers should verify:

• Whether their selected restaurant accepts takeout orders.
• Whether delivery is available on the holiday.
• What menu items are currently offered.
• Whether ordering and pickup hours differ from dine-in hours.

For a group holiday meal, checking ordering availability before planning pickup is particularly important.

How to Check Denny’s Holiday Hours Near You

The most reliable way to determine Denny’s holiday hours is to check the restaurant you actually intend to visit.

Use Denny’s Official Restaurant Locator

Visit Denny’s official website and open its location finder.

Search using your city, state, or ZIP code, then select the relevant restaurant.

Location pages commonly provide the restaurant’s address, contact details, and published operating schedule.

Remember that the displayed regular schedule may not reflect a special holiday adjustment.

Contact Your Local Restaurant

Calling the restaurant directly is particularly useful for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

Ask whether its normal schedule will apply to the specific holiday.

You can also confirm dine-in availability, takeout options, and any seasonal meals you intend to order.

Check Denny’s Ordering System

The official Denny’s app and ordering system can help customers select locations and review available menu options.

However, an item appearing in an ordering interface does not establish that every service will be available throughout the holiday.

Use direct restaurant confirmation when precise holiday opening or closing times matter.

Sources & Verification

This guide was checked against Denny’s official restaurant locator, individual restaurant pages, and corporate holiday announcements available in October 2026.

The official location information confirms Denny’s general year-round operations, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, while also advising customers to verify local operating hours.

Denny’s November 12, 2025, holiday announcement provides historical information about Thanksgiving and Christmas dining, seasonal menu items, and location-specific hours. Those past promotions have not been presented as confirmed 2026 offers.

Individual Pennsylvania restaurant listings were reviewed to illustrate the differences between 24-hour and limited-hour operations. Their published schedules should not be interpreted as guarantees for specific holidays.

Before You Go

Denny’s is generally open on major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. That makes it a potential dining option when other restaurants have special schedules or closures.

However, Denny’s holiday hours are not identical at every location, and being open on a holiday does not necessarily mean operating 24 hours.
