Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours 2026: Open & Closed Days

Planning a holiday lunch or dinner at Outback Steakhouse? Knowing the Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours can help you avoid arriving at a closed restaurant, especially during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s celebrations.

For 2026, Outback Steakhouse identifies Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day as closure days for its U.S. restaurants. Other holidays may have regular or modified operating hours, depending on the restaurant. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve deserve particular attention because closing times may differ from the usual schedule.

This guide explains the confirmed holiday closures, important 2026 holiday dates, location-specific opening hours, and practical ways to verify your nearest restaurant’s schedule before visiting.

Quick Answer

Outback Steakhouse is closed on Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2026) and Christmas Day (December 25, 2026) in the United States. These closures are supported by the company’s current employment information and holiday reporting.

For other major holidays, including Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day, a single nationwide schedule has not been confirmed. Check your chosen restaurant’s official location page or contact its staff to confirm holiday opening and closing times.

Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours 2026 at a Glance

The following table separates confirmed closures from holidays that require location-specific verification.

Important: The entries marked “Check local restaurant” do not mean the restaurant is definitely open. They mean a nationwide 2026 holiday schedule could not be established from the official information reviewed.

The table applies to U.S. locations. Outback Steakhouse restaurants in other countries follow separate operating schedules.

Is Outback Steakhouse Open on Thanksgiving 2026?

No. Outback Steakhouse is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, in the United States.

The company’s current employment materials explicitly identify Thanksgiving as a closure day, allowing restaurant employees to spend time with family and friends.

For customers planning Thanksgiving meals, this means the usual dine-in experience should not be expected on the holiday itself.

Is Outback Open the Day Before Thanksgiving?

Wednesday, November 25, 2026, falls on the day before Thanksgiving.

A universal opening and closing schedule for this date has not been confirmed. Some restaurants may adjust their closing times around major holidays.

If you are planning dinner that evening, confirm the restaurant’s hours directly rather than relying on its standard Wednesday schedule.

Does Outback Open on Black Friday?

Black Friday falls on Friday, November 27, 2026.

Outback’s Thanksgiving closure does not automatically establish its hours for the following day. The selected restaurant’s official schedule is the appropriate source for confirming when service resumes.

Is Outback Steakhouse Open on Christmas Day 2026?

No. Outback Steakhouse is closed on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2026, across its U.S. restaurant operations.

Christmas Day is one of the company’s established holiday closure days, alongside Thanksgiving.

Customers planning a Christmas gathering should choose another date rather than assuming an Outback location will offer regular dining service.

What Are Outback Steakhouse Christmas Eve Hours?

Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.

Unlike Christmas Day, Christmas Eve does not have a single verified nationwide closing time.

Outback’s official location information demonstrates that individual restaurants can publish special Christmas Eve instructions.

For example, the Horsham, Pennsylvania, restaurant at 724 Blair Mill Road displays a Christmas Eve closing notice of 9:00 PM.

That notice is specific to the Horsham restaurant. It should not be treated as a nationwide Christmas Eve closing time, and customers should reconfirm it closer to December 24.

Does Outback Open the Day After Christmas?

Saturday, December 26, 2026, is the day after Christmas.

The Christmas Day closure does not establish a universal reopening time for December 26. Check the restaurant’s current Saturday hours and ask whether any holiday adjustments remain in effect.

Outback Steakhouse New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Hours

New Year’s celebrations involve two separate dates, and restaurant availability should be checked for each one.

Is Outback Open on New Year’s Eve?

New Year’s Eve falls on Thursday, December 31, 2026.

A nationwide New Year’s Eve closing time has not been verified.

Restaurants may publish holiday-specific operating hours, so customers planning a late dinner should confirm the final seating or ordering time with their selected location.

A restaurant’s ordinary Thursday closing time should not be assumed to apply automatically to New Year’s Eve.

Is Outback Open on New Year’s Day?

New Year’s Day falls on Friday, January 1, 2027, immediately following the 2026 holiday season.

No universal New Year’s Day operating schedule was established from the U.S. official information reviewed.

If you plan to visit on January 1, check the restaurant’s holiday schedule before making arrangements.

Is Outback Steakhouse Open on Easter?

Easter Sunday occurred on April 5, 2026.

Outback Steakhouse does not have a universally confirmed Easter opening and closing schedule in the official information reviewed.

The restaurant’s regular Sunday hours may provide a useful reference, but they do not confirm its Easter hours.

For future Easter celebrations, check your selected restaurant’s holiday availability and confirm whether its normal menu and ordering services will be offered.

Outback Steakhouse Hours on Other Major Holidays

Several public holidays do not have a verified nationwide Outback Steakhouse operating schedule.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day fell on Monday, May 25, 2026.

A chainwide Memorial Day schedule was not confirmed. Customers should use the selected restaurant’s official location information for that date.

Independence Day

Independence Day fell on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Saturday operating hours can vary among Outback locations, and holiday-specific adjustments should be verified separately.

Labor Day

Labor Day fell on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Outback does not have a verified universal Labor Day opening or closing time in the information reviewed. Local schedules are the appropriate reference.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

Restaurant operating hours should be confirmed locally. Any Veterans Day dining promotion should also be checked separately, because the existence of a holiday does not guarantee a particular offer or menu discount.

Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day

Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are important restaurant occasions, but that does not establish special operating hours at every Outback location.

Customers planning meals for these occasions should confirm both restaurant hours and available dining arrangements in advance.

Do Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours Vary by Location?

Yes. Outback’s official restaurant pages show that normal operating schedules differ by location, and special holiday notices may also be restaurant-specific.

The company’s U.S. locations include restaurants in different markets with different weekly closing times.

That distinction matters because a normal weekday schedule does not necessarily reflect a holiday schedule.

Examples of Verified Outback Steakhouse Operating Hours

The following comparison uses three official U.S. location pages reviewed on October 14, 2026.

These examples show genuine differences in regular restaurant hours.

The Fort Lauderdale location operates one hour later on Sundays than the Horsham and Baltimore examples. Horsham also closes earlier on regular Thursdays than the other two restaurants.

These are ordinary weekly hours, not confirmed 2026 holiday schedules. They illustrate why copying one restaurant’s opening and closing times to another location can be misleading.

Why Location Differences Matter

Local schedules can affect several parts of a holiday dining plan:

• The time a restaurant opens for lunch or dinner.
• Its closing time on the day before a major holiday.
• Availability of dine-in or takeout ordering.
• Menu and ordering availability during modified hours.

Outback also has company-operated and franchised restaurants. However, the presence of different ownership arrangements does not, by itself, establish specific holiday-hour policies for individual locations.

The most dependable approach is to verify the actual restaurant you intend to visit.

Does Outback Steakhouse Close Early on Holidays?

Some Outback locations can publish special closing instructions for particular holidays.

The official Horsham, Pennsylvania, Christmas Eve notice demonstrates that holiday-specific closing information may appear directly on an individual restaurant page.

However, a nationwide early-closing time for Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, or the day before Thanksgiving has not been confirmed.

It is important to distinguish three different kinds of schedules:

A restaurant showing regular hours until 10:00 PM, for example, is not automatically guaranteed to remain open until that time on Christmas Eve.

How to Check Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours Near You

Outback provides an official restaurant locator that allows customers to search by city, state, or ZIP code.

The locator is useful for identifying the correct restaurant and reviewing its published operating information.

For the most reliable holiday schedule, follow these checks:

1. Open Outback Steakhouse’s official website and select the location finder.
2. Search for your city, state, or ZIP code.
3. Choose the exact restaurant you plan to visit.
4. Review its listed hours and look for any special holiday notices.
5. Contact that restaurant directly if the holiday schedule is unclear.

Google Maps can be a useful secondary reference, but it should not replace direct confirmation when holiday timing is important.

What Should You Ask the Restaurant?

If you are calling about a holiday visit, ask for the exact opening and closing times on your intended date.

For larger gatherings or late-evening visits, it is also useful to confirm whether dining service and ordering remain available until the published closing time.

This prevents confusion between the time a restaurant closes and the latest time it can accommodate your planned meal.

Can You Order Outback Steakhouse Takeout or Delivery on Holidays?

Outback Steakhouse offers online ordering, Curbside Takeaway, and delivery services at applicable locations.

Its official restaurant pages identify which services are available at individual restaurants.

However, normal ordering availability does not guarantee service during a holiday.

Takeout on Thanksgiving and Christmas

Because Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are established Outback closure days in the United States, customers should not rely on ordinary restaurant takeout or delivery service being available on those dates.

No general exception or special nationwide holiday pickup program was established in the official information reviewed.

Takeout on Other Holidays

For holidays without confirmed nationwide closures, availability depends on the selected restaurant’s operating arrangements.

A restaurant may display its regular menu and ordering options online, but those features do not independently confirm its holiday opening hours.

Check the selected location and intended pickup date before placing an order.

Does Delivery Follow the Same Hours as Dine-In?

Not necessarily.

Restaurant opening hours, online ordering availability, and delivery availability are separate details.

An Outback restaurant may list delivery as an available service without guaranteeing that orders can be delivered throughout every hour of dine-in operation.

Verify the service offered for your specific holiday date instead of assuming identical schedules.

Does Outback Steakhouse Offer a Special Holiday Menu?

Outback Steakhouse offers menu categories that include steaks, chicken, seafood, pasta, appetizers, and desserts.

The company’s official information also describes seasonal specials.

However, the existence of seasonal menu items does not confirm a specific nationwide Thanksgiving or Christmas dining package for 2026.

Are Christmas Specials Available?

Outback has previously promoted seasonal holiday offerings, including its Steakmas campaign in 2024.

That is historical promotional information, not confirmation that the same campaign or offers are available during the 2026 Christmas season.

Customers interested in holiday menu items should check the current official menu and promotional information for their chosen restaurant.

Are Holiday Menu Prices the Same Everywhere?

A single nationwide price list for holiday-specific items was not established from the information reviewed.

Menu prices and availability should be checked through the selected restaurant’s current menu or ordering system.

Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours vs. Regular Hours

The distinction between ordinary operating hours and holiday hours is particularly important for customers planning around December 24, December 25, December 31, or January 1.

Outback’s official information describes regular restaurant service throughout the week, but it also identifies Thanksgiving and Christmas as closure days.

This means a restaurant’s normal schedule cannot be applied indiscriminately to every calendar date.

For example, a restaurant that normally operates on Thursdays should not be assumed to open on Thanksgiving simply because the holiday falls on a Thursday.

Likewise, a published Thursday closing time does not automatically establish Christmas Eve closing hours.

Use regular hours to understand the restaurant’s usual schedule and holiday-specific information to confirm whether that schedule changes.
