Costco Pharmacy Hours 2026: Opening, Closing & Sunday Hours

Costco Pharmacy hours are not the same at every warehouse, so checking the pharmacy schedule—not just the main Costco warehouse hours—is important before visiting. Current official Costco location information shows that many U.S. pharmacies operate Monday through Saturday and are closed on Sunday, but weekday and Saturday closing times can differ by location.

Some pharmacies may also temporarily close for about 30 minutes during the afternoon when only one pharmacist is on duty. This guide explains the current schedules found on official Costco location pages and how to verify the exact hours for your nearest pharmacy.

Quick Answer

Costco Pharmacy does not have one universal schedule for every U.S. warehouse. In several currently checked locations, pharmacies open at 9:00 AM Monday through Saturday and are closed Sunday. Closing times vary: some pharmacies close at 7:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 PM Saturday, while others remain open until 8:30 PM on weekdays and 7:00 PM Saturday.

Always check the Pharmacy section of your selected Costco warehouse page before making a trip.

Costco Pharmacy Hours at a Glance

These times should not be treated as a guaranteed nationwide schedule. Costco publishes pharmacy hours separately for individual warehouse locations.

What Time Does Costco Pharmacy Open?

The Costco Pharmacy locations checked for this guide in Pennsylvania, California, and Washington currently list a 9:00 AM opening time Monday through Saturday.

That does not mean every Costco Pharmacy nationwide follows exactly the same schedule. Your selected warehouse’s official page should be treated as the primary source for its current pharmacy hours.

It is also important not to use the main warehouse opening time as the pharmacy opening time. Costco lists the pharmacy as a separate warehouse service, and its operating schedule can differ from general shopping hours.

What Time Does Costco Pharmacy Close?

Costco Pharmacy closing times vary by warehouse.

For example, official Costco pages currently show different schedules among U.S. locations:

This comparison demonstrates why a single national closing time can be misleading.

Costco Pharmacy Hours by Day

Based on the U.S. locations sampled above, the general pattern is weekday and Saturday operation with Sunday closure. Exact closing times, however, depend on the warehouse.

This table is a general reference rather than a nationwide Costco Pharmacy timetable.

Is Costco Pharmacy Open on Sunday?

The U.S. Costco pharmacies checked for this guide—including locations in Pennsylvania, California, and Washington—currently list the pharmacy as closed on Sunday.

However, pharmacy schedules outside the United States can differ. For example, Costco’s official page for its Ajax, Ontario warehouse lists Sunday pharmacy hours, demonstrating that Sunday availability should not be generalized internationally.

For a U.S. visit, confirm your individual warehouse before relying on Sunday availability.

Does Costco Pharmacy Close for Lunch?

Costco’s official pages for multiple pharmacies state that when only one pharmacist is on duty, the pharmacy may close for 30 minutes between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM.

This wording is important: it does not establish a guaranteed daily lunch closure at every pharmacy.

Instead, a temporary closure may occur depending on pharmacist staffing. If you plan to arrive during that afternoon window, checking directly with your local pharmacy can help avoid an unnecessary wait.

Are Costco Pharmacy Hours the Same as Warehouse Hours?

No. Costco warehouse operating hours and Costco Pharmacy hours should be treated separately.

For example, the Chula Vista, California location currently lists general Gold Star and Business Member warehouse hours extending until 8:30 PM Monday through Friday, while its pharmacy closes at 7:00 PM on those days.

That means an open Costco warehouse does not necessarily mean its pharmacy counter is still open.

When checking a location, look specifically under Pharmacy in the Warehouse Services section rather than relying only on the warehouse’s main opening and closing times.

Do Costco Pharmacy Hours Vary by Location?

Yes. Official Costco warehouse pages confirm meaningful differences in pharmacy schedules.

For example, the sampled King of Prussia and Chula Vista pharmacies currently close at 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, while Poway and Kirkland list pharmacy service until 8:30 PM on those days. Their Saturday closing times also differ.

These differences make location-specific verification more reliable than relying on a generic Costco Pharmacy hours schedule found elsewhere.

Costco Pharmacy Holiday Hours

Holiday pharmacy schedules should be verified for the individual warehouse rather than assumed from regular weekday hours.

Costco’s official warehouse finder specifically directs customers to select their local warehouse to view hours and upcoming holiday closures.

A holiday can affect both warehouse access and pharmacy service, and the pharmacy’s operating schedule should not automatically be assumed to match the warehouse schedule.

For major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, check the selected warehouse’s current information shortly before visiting.

Costco Pharmacy Warehouse Pickup

Costco offers warehouse prescription pickup through participating Costco pharmacies. Its current pharmacy service allows customers to refill prescriptions and check prescription status, while new prescriptions can be handled through a nearby warehouse pharmacy.

Because the physical pharmacy counter follows its own location-specific schedule, verify your warehouse’s pharmacy hours before planning an in-person pickup.

Costco Rx Locker Pickup

Costco also has prescription pickup lockers at limited pharmacy locations. Costco states that eligible prescriptions placed in these lockers can be collected during warehouse hours, including Sundays, even when the pharmacy counter itself is closed.

Not every prescription qualifies for locker pickup. Costco currently excludes certain categories, including controlled substances, refrigerated medications, veterinary prescriptions, and medications that require mixing upon arrival.

Locker availability is also limited to participating Costco pharmacy locations, so it should not be assumed to be available at every warehouse.

Costco Mail Order Pharmacy Hours

Costco’s Home Delivery Pharmacy is different from the pharmacy counter inside a local warehouse.

Costco states that its online pharmacy system is available 24/7 for functions such as prescription refills, new prescription orders, and prescription-status checks. Pharmacy agents are currently available Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pacific Time and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM Pacific Time.

These customer-service hours should not be confused with the operating hours of a local Costco Pharmacy.

How to Check Costco Pharmacy Hours Near You

The most reliable method is Costco’s official warehouse finder. Search using your city, state, or ZIP code, choose the correct warehouse, and look under Warehouse Services for the Pharmacy section.

Check the pharmacy listing for:

• Monday through Friday hours
• Saturday hours
• Sunday availability
• Pharmacy phone number
• Any temporary afternoon closure notice
• Upcoming holiday information

If timing is especially important, calling the pharmacy directly is useful before traveling.

Google Maps can provide secondary location information, but general store hours should not be treated as proof that the pharmacy counter follows the same schedule.

Why Your Costco Warehouse May Be Open When the Pharmacy Is Closed

Costco warehouses contain multiple services that can operate on different schedules.

A warehouse may still be open for shopping while its pharmacy has already closed. The tire center, gas station, pharmacy, optical department, and other services can also have schedules separate from the main warehouse.

For pharmacy visits, therefore, always check the dedicated Pharmacy listing instead of relying on the main Costco closing time.

Sources & Verification

This guide was checked against Costco’s current official warehouse locator, individual Costco warehouse pages, Costco Pharmacy information, Warehouse Pickup information, Home Delivery Pharmacy information, and Costco’s Rx Locker information on September 29, 2026.

The location comparison used official pharmacy schedules from warehouses in Pennsylvania, California, and Washington to identify genuine differences rather than presenting one sampled schedule as a nationwide rule.

Because Costco publishes pharmacy information at the individual warehouse level, your selected warehouse remains the best source for current local hours.
